Lalsathei Kaipeng , lives in Sontang no 3 under Ompi block . She became a member of Minung Razul SHG in 15/06/2001. In the beginning she was saving Rs. 30/- every month. She has three sons, one daughter. The economic condition of her family is not too sound as her husband is the only breadwinner of the family. His income isn�t enough to meet the ends meet. She thought of pig rearing. Unfortunately, she didn�t have enough money to start rearing and the saving which was pooled up by the SHG wasn�t sufficient either to meet her requirement of cash. After joining she got training on live stock rearing from JUST in 2012. Subsequently, the SHG applied for a bank loan under a Government Scheme �SwarnaJayanti Gram Swarojgar yojna� (SGSY) for piggery. The group was successful in obtaining a 2nd gradation loan of Rs. 1,82,000 from a Gramin bank in 2013. All group member divided 8000/- for their personal business. Lalsathei Kaipeng was provided loan of Rs. 8000/- to start piggery rearing. She buy one female pig Rs. 3000/- rest of the money she prepare pig house. She started rearing pig. After six month the pig got six piglets. After three month she sells their piglets in the local markets Tuidu Rs. 2500/- each (6X2500=15000). She repays the loan after six month.
